Dana 24. veljače 2020. godine u časopisu Nature Ecology & Evolution izašla je znanstvena studija pod nazivom „The spread of steppe and Iranian-related ancestry in the islands of the western Mediterranean“ koja je rezultat suradnje niza stručnjaka iz više međunarodnih institucija. U navedenoj studiji sudjelovao je i dr. sc. Mario Novak iz Centra za primijenjenu bioantropologiju Instituta za antropologiju.

Journal Nature Ecology & Evolution published on February 24th 2020 a study entitled „The spread of steppe and Iranian-related ancestry in the islands of the western Mediterranean“ as a result of collaboration of many scholars from international organizations. Mario Novak, PhD, of the Centre for Applied Bioanthropology of the Institute for Anthropological Research also collaborated in the research.
